What these spikes called that are on buildings to keep pigeons away from architecture?

Answer: Little Spitfire; ” Bird Spikes ” are what ye thinking of. And they’re actually supposed to act as a deterrent. They cause no harm to birds. Here they are:

In case ye interested, I might point out that Bird Control is a whole specialised branch with the field of Pest Control. Especially when ye dealing with such deterrent procedures. There’s usually a lot more to it than slapping down a couple of spikes. The health and safety aspects alone are just plain scary.

However, perhaps you’re just looking at a window sill outside a ‘safe’ window or something? Maybe ye just wondered what the things were called 🙂
