What are good and reliable dog supplies?

I’m not too sure which brands of dog supplies are good. I will be adopting a dog in a couple weeks and looking for some reliable, long lasting dog supplies. Like leashes, crates, etc. If anyone can help me who knows a little about them, please let me know. Thanks

Answer: Just go to a reputable pet store and get your supplies there- some might be a little pricey but it’s worth it. Don’t buy any collars or leash from a $$ store or anything like that. But you can get dishes at the $$ store… Buy a Kong for your dog, it helps them when they teeth and also gives them something to play with.
I also recommend the tuffy pet toys’. my husky loves his teddy and it’s the first toy he hasn’t completely demolished…

Can I adopt an adult dog to teach my puppies good behavior?

I have two 6-month-old puppies who are crazy. I’ve always wanted to adopt a dog in need, and I’m wondering if that may help with training my puppies. If I were to adopt an adult dog who already knew basic commands, do you think it would help my puppies learn faster by watching him? Thanks!

Answer: No, and having two puppies at the same time is a very bad idea. The time you need to care for and train one puppy is significant. And puppies will re-enforce each others behavior – that is one reason you are having such a problem. You have to go to separate classes with them and train them separately.
What does the trainer that did your (NOT OPTIONAL) puppy kindergarten classes say?
Unless you take very strong action now, devoting way more time and effort , you are going to have worse problems as time goes by.
I see two choices: Place one puppy now or place both of them later.

What is the best kind of dog to adopt?

I want to adopt a dog from a local animal shelter and they have all kinds. I was just wondering what type would be loyal and just an overall good breed of dog. thanks!

Answer:
That depends on what you want… different dogs are good for different people.
While I like pit bulls because they are strong, loyal, goofy, intimidating to strangers, athletic, intelligent dogs… someone else might want a teeny, fluffy dog that would fit in their purse.
