How many pounds of food would one Siberian Husky eat in one week?

I’m thirteen and may get a Siberian Husky. I need to know about how much they eat during one week so i can know if I’ll be able to buy food for her on my weekly allowance! Thanks! : )

Answer: Hi… i think our Husky eats a bit less than 20 lbs a month – he eats Canidae, a better brand. 20 lbs is around $27.00 at our pet store here. I’m sure the price varies around the country. If you plan to give him supplements, or a spoon of canned food along with his regular food, then take these things into consideration, as well.
Your dog will also need bones and other chew toys.
Huskies are a very “different” breed… they are gentle and wonderful, but they have their particular quirks and a person needs to prepare themselves and know what to expect before adopting one.
Here is a good website with tons of information about the breed http://www.husky-petlove.com/huskyfacts.…

What is the best dog food for a siberian husky?

My new Siberian husky is at 7 weeks and I’m not sure what the best food is to give him people say V.I.P puppy rolls are good but I’m not sure if you have any info please let me know thanks!

Answer: Huskies do best on food that is high in protein. Look for something with meat as one of the top three ingredients. They love fish, so any Salmon flavor is usually very popular.
I checked with my breeder and said eagle pack is 1 of the best http://www.eaglepack.com/ but if you can’t get something with the ingredients I told you up their.

How much food should my 2 year old Siberian Husky eat & how often?

I have a 2 year old Siberian husky, how much food should he be eating and how often??

Answer: Start out by feeding according to your food packaging instructions by weight and/or age. Your dogs specific needs may be different by his metabolic rate & the amount of daily exercise he gets.
If your dog is getting to the point where you can no longer feel his ribs then you are overfeeding and you need to gradually reduce the amount.
If you can see his ribs through his fur & skin then you are underfeeding and you need to gradually increase the amount.
You can feed an adult once or twice per day as long as you are consistent with your feeding schedule.

How much food does a Siberian Husky eat?

Not that it matters, but I’m just curious about how much a Siberian husky eats as a puppy? How about as an adult?
How much money for food do you spend per month?

Answer: Our Huskies will eat ANYTHING that does not eat them first!!
Our 14 Huskies will eat a 44lb bag of Purina O. N. E. ($30.00 at Sam’s) a week. All are adults. Huskies get good food mileage. In addition we have one that gets O. N. E. canned due to the condition of her teeth (she is 13) this is about another $10.00 a week.
25 years of being owned by Siberian Huskies. I currently have 14 Huskies most of whom were rescued by us from people who didn’t know what they were getting into

How soon can I feed a Siberian Husky wet food?

My husky is a two month and a half old female. I wanna know when can I start feeding her wet food instead of the baby food. Thanks

Answer: I think if you check the can it may say what age the wet food is for. Also your vet or even the ppl who work at the pet store may have suggestions.
But, if you choose to feed wet food, just know that her teeth are going to be dirtier in general (hard food kind of scrapes them clean). You’ll probably have to brush her teeth more often. (at least when she gets the permanent ones–those need to last her lifetime)
also, her poop will probably be a bit more of a challenge to pick up if you go all wet

Best Puppy Food for a Siberian Husky

What is the best puppy food for a Siberian Husky? They are only 6 weeks old.

Answer: Start them off right with a high quality food. I think Canidae’s foods are good, as are those from Innova, Merrick, Solid Gold, and a bunch of others. Since the pups still don’t have their puppy teeth completely in at this point, I would mix dry food with some warm water to allow it to soften some for the next few weeks. There’s really not a whole lot of difference between puppy food and adult food, but if you want to look at the ingredients, the second site below is good for that. The first one is a good educational one about dog foods and ingredients. The third one is about how to read labels, which is something every dog owner needs to know how to do, IMO.

Good luck with your Sibe. I’ve had a number over the years, and they are one of my favorite breeds.
